Now it's your time in fame! You have an opportunity to design and develop an amazing and graphically astonishing application for the upcoming Ubuntu! You can pick your own technologies and languages. More cool graphics and effects there is the better it is for the competition. Send a demo of your product (screenshots and/or videos) and your contact information to the TiTe contact (henri.puranen at tut.fi) by the date 16.4.2010 and you are in the competition.

Best applications will be shown in Ubuntu Release fest on 5.5.2010 in Finlayson. The fest is organized by Ixonos' and COSS'. And this is not all! The winner of the competition will be awarded with a brand new Nokia N900 mobile phone!

The idea of the application is up to you, just remember that it should have some rad graphics and effects. The referees are going to be Ixonos, COSS and Ubuntu Finland.

The Winner will be announced before 5.5.2010 and he/she will be contacted in person.

Send your application demo before the 16.4. to henri.puranen at tut.fi and prepare for the victory!

Note: It is possible to do the application with a group. Dividing an N900 is kinda hard though if it's case of victory, but that's a minor fact right? :)

TiTe and Information Technology guild Luuppi from UTA organize an excursion to Turku Agile Day on Thursday 18.03.2010. Bus leaves at 6:30 and comes back around 23:00 the same day. The trip costs 15 euros including the bus, tickets to the event and a ticket to the Kolmio-party in Onnela after the excursion.

The guild of computing sciences - TiTe is going to give a presentation about ourself. We want to tell you who we are, which services we offer, which events we have and how to get in touch with us. This presentation will also include how we help our members to find employment in Finland.
Some snacks and coffee is served. After that, we can go to the guild room and hang out there for a while.

Ixonos is arranging Linux Qt workshop in Wednesday 2.12.

We are looking for several students for Linux Qt Workshop. Workshop will be held on 2.12.2009 at Ixonos office in Hermia. During the day we will go through theory of Qt with Ixonos’ SW professionals and implement an application together. After the workshop, evening will continue at Sauna with food and drinks. The Guild of Information Technology (TiTe) organizes an open for all
international board games evening in restaurant Zip at campus area, on Tuesday,
April 7th (7.4.) starting from 18.00. Everyone is most welcome: Exchange
students as well as home students! Games are supplied by the Student Union.

The event will be non-alcoholic.

Please feel free to pass by if you've got nothing else to do. :)

If you have paid for your overalls last year, they should ship before the end of January and you will receive them in February. However if you are leaving Finland before that, you should make arrangements for shipping them to you. Contact tite-hati@cs.tut.fi for details. If you haven't preordered overalls, there will be some extra ones for sale at the guild room once they arrive.
