Are you interested in creating and developing TiTen’s activities? Do you want to help shape the future of our guild? The application period for TiTen’s Board for 2027 begins on Monday, October 19, and runs through November 1! In this application round, we are seeking a chair and board members!

Applications for the board are submitted via an online form (link at the end), and filling it out does not commit you to anything at this stage. After the application period ends, the chairperson candidates will interview all board applicants together, in accordance with the guild’s board recruitment rules: https://tite.cs.tut.fi/wiki/rulesofboardselection. During the application period, all open positions will be updated in the news section of the website once a day.

In accordance with the guild’s rules, TiTe’s Board consists of a chairperson, 5–10 other board members, and officers. Chair candidates may propose their desired board composition, which may differ from, for example, the previous year’s composition. For more information on the various positions, see TiTeWiki:

(Responsibilities may vary from year to year as the board distributes them among its members.)

The members will ultimately elect the new board at TiTe’s election meeting in November. The call for officers will not open until after the new board members have been elected, but if you’d like to discuss the officer recruitment process with the chair candidates during the board election, you can indicate this on the form!

If you’re interested in the Board’s day-to-day operations, members are welcome to attend the Board’s open meeting in week 44, as well as the Board and Officers information session on Monday, October 26, at 4:00 p.m. More information about the open meeting will be provided later.

Concurrently with the Board recruitment, we are also seeking TiTe representatives for the Teekkari Council for the year 2027, where TiTe will have three regular representatives and three vice representatives. Representatives on the Teekkari Council play an active role in Tampereen Teekkarit ry, an association formed by the guilds of Hervanta campus that works to develop Tampere engineering student culture. And to ensure that the available positions don’t run out, in addition to the board recruitment, we’re also looking for representatives for the Finance Committee for the year 2027. TiTe Finance Committee advices the board with finances along with the Medium-Term Economic Plan and comments the annual budget.
